Final Zoom Conference

We’ve met with the participants of My Culture Pal project for the last time on the Final Zoom Conference held on 16th October at 18.30 CET. We played some online games and shared our memories about My Culture Pal project!

“With the help of My Culture Pal Project, we made pals from different cultures using only digital tools. We learned so many things about our cultural identity, the meaning of diversity and the matter of understanding and acceptance. We believe that these friendships will last for a long time. Let’s keep in touch and continue discovering different cultures!”

Understanding and acceptance of differences is the stepping stone towards building cultures of peace and unity!

What Our Participants are Saying

Göktuğ Donk

I live in Istanbul, Turkey and I am 25 year-old. I’ve been interested in foreign cultures since I was a kid. When I saw the poster of the project on Instagram, I instantly applied for it. I haven’t visited North Macedonia yet, but I will visit this beautiful country for sure! I want to explore its culture, make amazing friends and see beautiful places. The project was joyful. I liked our activities and discussions, and I was sad when the project ended.”

Sofija Stavreska

If you’re not sure whether to take part in the project, please do! It’s great fun, but it’s also very eye-opening. The time has come to bridge the gaps between the seemingly different, but actually very similar cultures. I promise you that you won’t regret joining!”

Tijana Stojcheska

“Curious as I am, I’m always excited to meet more people, so I didn’t think twice about being a part of My Culture Pal. When an opportunity comes to learn something new or see things from a different perspective I always seize it. I believe that everyone should give more chances when it comes to opening up to the world and to others. That way, while you’re discovering the “outer” world, you might just find out something about yourself.”

Pervin Çetin

“I really enjoyed my experience as a part of this amazing project and I feel really lucky to be a part of this big Macedonian-Turkish family! With this project I developed an understanding for the importance of diversity.”

Beyza Ari

“This project helped me to understand about and explore different cultures more. I really enjoyed it and even though we did the project online, we had a chance to meet new people and exchange our cultures! Hopefully, we will start doing projects face-to-face, exchange our cultures and break down the stereotypes!”

Doris Ivanova

“The activities were super interactive and fun. All and all, everything was great and perfectly combined with the educational purposes of the meetings. I developed a lot more respect and knowledge about cultures and their ways of living. In the future, I am going to attend many more similar events and gather further knowledge.”
